Pipe Splitting: Water Pipe Repair & Replacement
Make room for a new water pipe with our pipe splitting method. We insert a cable that has a head with blades at the end. The blades are sharp enough to slice through the old metal and plastic pipes. Our pipe cutter head slices the old pipe, allowing room for the new pipe to slide in. This is an effective way to provide water pipe replacement and repair. The replacement pipe we install is either soft copper type K, flexible SDR, or PEX pipe. All of these types of pipes are flexible, yet strong and less likely to break. After installing the new pipe, we then make connections on both ends – one with the meter and other with the inlet going in the house.
Traditional vs. Trenchless Pipe Repair
Go trenchless when you need to repair a sewer or water line. It’s a faster and easier way to repair pipe, and it minimizes damage to your property. Traditional pipe repair and replacement involves digging down to the damaged pipe, cutting out a section, and replacing it with new pipe. Ever since plumbing pipes were invented, plumbers have used this method.
Now, contractors are able to replace or repair pipe without digging a trench. Using advanced technological methods, we provide trenchless pipe repair without disturbing soil, landscaping, or driveways. This is known as “trenchless” or “no dig” pipe repair. Unlike traditional pipe replacement, there is hardly any mess to clean up when using the trenchless pipe repair and replacement method.
Another benefit of the trenchless method is its versatility. A pipe can be replaced or repaired in areas where digging is impossible. Whether a water line is under a driveway, old oak tree, or a building, we can get to it safely without disturbing the ground above.
